AIKEN COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT NAMES DR. CANDICE COPPOCK EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY
The Aiken County Public School District (ACPSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Candice Coppock as Executive Director of Technology for the 2026-27 school year. Dr. Coppock brings nearly 30 years of experience in education and extensive expertise in educational technology leadership, cybersecurity, instructional technology, data privacy, and district operations. She most recently served as Executive Director of Information Technology for Richland School District One and has also held leadership positions with the South Carolina Department of Education.
“Dr. Coppock brings a unique combination of classroom experience and expertise in information technology,” said Chief Officer of Operations and Student Services Dr. Tim Yarborough. “She has demonstrated success in leveraging technology to support teaching, learning, and operational excellence, and I am excited to welcome her to our leadership team.” Coppock was the first female educator in South Carolina to earn the Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) certification and currently serves in state and national technology leadership roles. She said she looks forward to partnering with educators, staff, and families to ensure technology systems effectively support student success and district operations.
