NORTH AUGUSTA — When North Augusta High School junior Listte Ramirez found out that some students had a hearing impairment and were unable to communicate with other students, she wanted to do something.
Ramirez started a club that will allow her and others to communicate with students who use American Sign Language (ASL).
“I thought it was a really good idea to get a club going where we can just start learning the basics of ASL so in that way we will be able to communicate with those students," she said.
The American Sign Language club is new at North Augusta High School.
