AIKEN — Meta Platforms Inc., the tech giant behind Facebook and Instagram, is providing more than $600,000 in Data Center Community Action Grants to Aiken organizations.
These grants, according to the Meta website, “are one of many ways that Meta gives back to communities where we have a data center.” Aiken County is home to a future $800 million Meta data center, which will be located in the Sage Mill Industrial Park in Graniteville upon its scheduled completion in 2027.
There are 13 Aiken-area recipients of the grant in 2026, including the Aiken County Public School District which will receive over $43,000.
