This afternoon, we will celebrate the Aiken Scholars Academy Class of 2026 right here at USC Aiken. This campus is incredibly familiar to this group of high-achieving students, who finished their high school coursework in just two years and have been fully immersed in college courses here ever since.
It is our distinct pleasure to introduce you to the top students of this elite class of scholars:
Valedictorian: Elias Ezekial James Following graduation, Elias will serve a two-year, Spanish-speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bakersfield, California. Afterward, he will attend Brigham Young University to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Elias loves learning, is always open to exploring new things, and enjoys playing the piano in his free time.
Salutatorian: Amanda Marie Counts Amanda plans to attend the University of South Carolina Honors College, where she will major in pre-nursing with the ultimate goal of becoming a nurse practitioner. While at ASA, she was actively involved in several organizations, including the Beta Club, National Honor Society, Yearbook, and Student Council. Amanda is excited to continue her academic journey and is deeply grateful for the support of her friends, family, and everyone at Aiken Scholars Academy.
Congratulations to Elias, Amanda, and all their peers in the Class of 2026!
