Dr. Murphy with kindergarten students at Gloverville elementary school after the performance of a play.

This week was an exciting one for kindergarteners at Gloverville Elementary school, as Ms. McDiarmid and her 5k class proudly presented their production of "The Eight Little Pigs."

Ms. McDiarmid wanted to put something together where everyone was included and had a role. One of the biggest goals behind the play was to successfully teach the class about working together as a team. The local community was a big help in making this possible. Props like costumes, and backdrops were donated and created for the production.

They performed the play for Pre K through second grade on February 25th with Superintendent, Dr. Murphy in attendance for the presentation. A second performance was held for third through fifth grade, giving even more students the opportunity to enjoy the show.

Principal Nathan Lobaugh also shared his pride in the young performers, commending them for memorizing their lines, working together as a team, and confidently taking the stage in front of their peers.

The final performance is scheduled for Friday, February 27th at 8:30a.m., when families will be invited to see the students showcase all of their hard work.
