MONETTA, SC (WJBF)- It’s that time of year again for our scholar athlete awards, where we honor student athletes that excel in the classroom and community. This week’s is Dylan Harris from Ridge Spring-Monetta High School.
Dylan carries a whopping 5.119 GPA and is a member of both the football and track teams. A two-year starter on the trojans offensive line, he was their highest graded o-linemen overall last season. On the track, he throws shot and distance.
In the classroom, he’s an early-graduate who plans to enroll at either USC-Aiken or USC-Columbia to study mechanical engineering. His mom and coaches are only expecting great things from here in his future.
“I have to first give it to my family. They push me to be the best I can be. They help me succeed in everything I do, and I’d also like to thank my coaches on the field for pushing me to my fullest potential,” Harris said.
