Outstanding Service

The Aiken County School Board of Education and Aiken County Public Schools presented rings from Jostens Rhodes Graduation Service to outstanding district employees during the October 9, 2018 School Board Meeting. The honorees holding rings include East Aiken School of the Arts Principal Lisa Fallaw, (front row, from left) who was named the District's 2018 Principal of the Year, retired South Aiken High School Principal Jill Jett, the Distirct's 2017 Principal of the Year, Brook Byers, a Giving Even More (GEM) employee of the year who serves as the parent involvement coordinator at Busbee Elementary, and Gloverville Elementary Special Education Emilee Meek, the District's 2018 Teacher of the Year. Mr. Leon Pugh, grounds supervisor for Wagener-Salley High School also earned the GEM award, but was not present at the ceremony. Also pictured are School Board members Ahmed Samaha (back row, from left), Jeremey Mace, Wesley Hightower, Keith Liner, Rosemary English, Cecil Atchley, Tad Barber, Levi Green and Superintendent Dr. Sean Alford.
