On Thursday, May 30, 2019, representatives from Boeing will be visiting Aiken County Public Schools.
When Boeing first came to South Carolina, they made a commitment to visit all counties and school districts as a way to build relationships and give back to our state. Their previous visit to Aiken County consisted of visits to our middle schools.
During tomorrow’s visit, arranged by Joni McDaniel with the South Carolina Department of Commerce, Boeing will visit both Aiken High School and the Aiken Scholars Academy. While at Aiken High, Boeing representatives will visit the Project Lead The
Way (PLTW) Engineering classes, experience the Aerospace Challenge, and watch a robotics demonstration.
Along with visiting the two high schools, Boeing representatives will have lunch with Aiken County School District Leadership, where they will also receive a brief presentation about the AIKEN WORKS initiative.
Boeing Representatives include:
Lauren Hanson - National Strategy & Engagement
Meagan Norman - BSC Communications
Frank Hatten - Education Relations
Libba Holland - BSC Communications
