Standard Response Protocol

Aiken County Public Schools utilizes the "I Love U Guys" Standard Response Protocol (SRP). SRP reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families.

The "I Love U Guys" SRP is a nationally-recognized program designed to enhance school safety by providing clear and concise protocols for responding to various emergency situations. Through this protocol, we aim to streamline our emergency response procedures and empower our school community with the knowledge and tools necessary to respond effectively in times of crisis.

Our staff and students will receive comprehensive training on the "I Love U Guys" SRP to ensure that we are well-prepared to respond as necessary. Additionally, we will work closely with parents, community partners, and local law enforcement agencies to communicate this Standard Response Protocol and promote awareness and understanding of its principles and procedures.

We believe that the implementation of the "I Love U Guys" SRP will further strengthen our school's safety infrastructure and foster a culture of preparedness, as well as confidence in our collective ability to respond effectively to circumstances that necessitate its use.

The terms (Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter) and procedures to follow are simply defined. These terms are communicated and posted as visual reminders on school campuses. Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter will be used internally in our response, and externally to update parents/guardians, as well as the larger school community.
