Welcome to The Center for Innovative Learning!
Schedules for next week are forthcoming!
As we head to summertime....
Placement Requirement & 2026–2027 Programming Changes (Important):
Students who have not met the minimum 45-day placement by May 28 will begin the 2026–2027 school year at CIL.
Due to programming changes for the 2026–2027 school year:
Students who begin the year at CIL will transition back to their home schools at the end of Quarter 1 (September 22, 2026) if the 45-day minimum placement and transition goals have been met.
A Transition Review Meeting will be required prior to transition back to the home school. This meeting includes a student presentation.
Behavioral incidents and/or lack of attendance may extend a student’s placement at CIL through the end of the next quarter.
Repeated bus referrals, including referrals for behavioral incidents at the bus loop, will result in an extension of time at CIL and may lead to permanent expulsion from the bus.
Students who fail to attend on Day 1 of the 2026–2027 school year without an excused absence will be extended through the end of Quarter 2 (December 18, 2026).
An updated CIL Student Handbook and uniform graphic will be shared prior to the start of the 2026–2027 school year.
Vision & Mission Statement:
VISION: We envision CIL as a transformative, student-centered learning community where every young person—regardless of past obstacles—has the opportunity to thrive. By offering multiple alternative programs tailored to diverse student needs, we aim to break cycles of disengagement, promote positive decision-making, and prepare all students for postsecondary success, careers, and contributions to their communities.
MISSION: The mission of The Center for Innovative Learning is to provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment where students facing academic, behavioral, or social-emotional challenges can rediscover their potential. Through individualized plans, restorative practices, and wraparound support, we empower students to take ownership of their education, develop resilience, and re-engage in meaningful pathways toward graduation and lifelong success.
