Welcome back to school Redcliffe Bears!! Monday, July 21st.
Welcome Redcliffe Families! Here are our morning and afternoon car line procedures to get our car line off to a great start Monday! We appreciate your understanding as we adjust our system, train new dispatchers, and fall into our carline routine this first week of school. Please pick up your pink car tag at Meet the Teacher to help the line move even faster! Thank you!

Redcliffe Elementary Afternoon Car Line. All afternoon car riders, 4K through 5th grade, should be picked up using the car line. Please do not wait on the breezeway or in the parking lot. Please have your child’s 3-digit car line number displayed clearly in your vehicle’s dash or hanging from the rearview mirror. These numbers have been assigned at registration and each student will receive 2 hot pink car tags. Students in the same household should have the same number. Anyone approved to pick your child up from school should have this number. Extras are available if needed. Use both lanes of the car line until you pull up to the white lines (Fire Lane). Please do not use or block the Fire Lane. Once the dispatcher enters your number and your line starts moving, please pull as far forward as possible. Do not wait on your child to come to you. Students will be instructed to move down to meet you in order to load as many students as possible. Thank you for helping us keep our car line safe and swift!
Redcliffe Elementary Morning Car Line. All morning car riders, 4K - 5th grade, should be dropped off using the car line. Please pull as far forward as possible, and have your child ready to exit the vehicle when you pull alongside the yellow curb. If your child needs more time, please pull to Pole 1 for assistance in order to keep the line moving as swiftly as possible. 4K students will be allowed to enter through the 4K doors. 5K - 5th should enter the building through the front student entrance doors. Please remain in your vehicle. Car line staff and Safety Patrol will assist students as they get out of the vehicle. If you arrive at/after 7:30am, or need to come into the building for any reason, please park in a designated space and walk your child across the crosswalk to the main office. Students arriving after 7:30am must be signed in by an adult and will be marked tardy. No parking or student drop offs are allowed along the yellow chain. Thank you for your cooperation!

Parents and Guardians now is the time to schedule a well-visit or vaccine appointment with your child’s healthcare provider to avoid the back-to-school rush before the 2025-26 school year begins on July 21! The SC Department of Public Health is also offering a vaccine clinic for students in grades 5K–12 on July 8 from 9–11:30 a.m. and 1–3:30 p.m. at the Aiken County Health Department (222 Beaufort Street NE, Aiken). Call (803) 642-7543 to make an appointment and bring vaccination and insurance records; a parent or guardian must accompany children under 16. No-cost vaccines may be available, though administration fees may apply. Don’t forget to submit your child’s updated SC Immunization Certificate to their school and note that all rising 7th graders must have a Tdap booster given at age 10 or older. Contact your child’s healthcare provider or school nurse with any questions and visit acpsd.net/page/nursing-services for more information.

Leadership Transition Announced at Redcliffe Elementary School As Aiken County Public Schools prepares for the start of the 2025-2026 school year, a leadership transition is underway at Redcliffe Elementary School. Current Principal Kimmerie Allen informed teachers, staff, and families on June 12 of her decision to accept a new position in the District’s Federal Programs Department as the Teaching Pathway Coordinator. The District is pleased to announce that former Superintendent King Laurence will serve as Interim Principal at Redcliffe. Laurence retired in June 2024 after a distinguished 38-year career in education, including extensive leadership experience within Aiken County Public Schools. A 1985 graduate of the University of South Carolina Aiken, Laurence holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master’s in Educational Administration (1990) from the University of South Carolina. His leadership roles in the District have included Superintendent (2020–2024), Chief Officer of Administration and Human Resources (2016–2020), Associate Superintendent (2012–2016), Director of Federal Programs (2005–2012), and Principal (1998–2005). Before joining Aiken County, he served as a teacher and administrator in the Edgefield County School District. “We are extremely grateful to Mr. Laurence for returning to support our schools in this interim role,” said Superintendent Dr. Corey Murphy. “His experience speaks for itself, but it’s his thoughtful and collaborative leadership style that I believe will be an incredible asset as we begin the new school year.” Laurence officially began his interim role today, Monday, June 23, 2025. He will work alongside Principal Allen this week to ensure a smooth and successful transition. “Stepping into this role at Redcliffe allows me to serve and hopefully to help the school and the community transition to new leadership,” Laurence stated. “The preparation for a new school year has always been one of the most exciting times for me. I am looking forward to that experience while building relationships in the Redcliffe community.”

Happy Father's Day!
Hello Redcliffe Family, Registration for new and returning students for the 2025-26 school year is now open. Families are strongly encouraged to complete the online registration as soon as possible, along with transportation requests. The transportation request is conveniently integrated into the registration process; however, timely registration and submission of necessary documentation are crucial to avoid delays in bus service for your child. Additionally, students must receive school approval before being assigned to a bus, and those with pending approvals will not be eligible for bus assignments. If you require assistance or have any questions regarding the registration process, please call our office or the ACPSD Transportation department for support.
