We want to inform you that Redcliffe Elementary will be conducting a lockdown drill this week. While we hope we never experience a real emergency, practicing these procedures is an important part of keeping our students, teachers, and staff safe.
The purpose of the drill is to ensure that everyone understands what to do and is prepared to respond appropriately if a true emergency were ever to occur. The drill will be conducted in a calm and reassuring manner, and our staff will carefully guide students through the process.
There will also be additional police presence on campus during the drill. Please know that this is part of our safety procedures and is intended to provide additional support and ensure the drill is conducted safely.
During the drill, we will remind students to:
• Listen carefully to their teachers and staff.
• Follow directions quickly and calmly.
• Remain quiet.
• Stay in their designated safe location.
• Remain calm and focused.
Our number one priority is always the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Regular safety drills help us prepare, practice, and strengthen our response procedures so that we are ready should a real emergency occur.
We appreciate your support as we work together to keep Redcliffe Elementary a safe and secure place for everyone. Thank you for partnering with us and helping reinforce the importance of listening carefully, following directions, and staying safe.
Sincerely,
Redcliffe Elementary Administration

UPDATE: iReady testing will begin next week for 1st through 5th grades! Monday and Tuesday, August 3rd and 4th, will be reading testing. Wednesday and Thursday, August 5th and 6th will be math testing. Please try to be present and on time each day, and be sure to have a good night's sleep and a good breakfast! Let's show what we know, Redcliffe Bears!

Mrs. Sabrina worked with students who were accepted into the 4K program, while Mrs. Sellers and Mrs. Blackwell worked with several incoming kindergarten students. Over the course of six weeks, the teachers held six one-on-one sessions with each student, providing opportunities to build important skills, confidence, and relationships.
Throughout the program, students showed tremendous growth and formed connections that will help make their transition into school much smoother and more comfortable.
Today, Mrs. McConnell, our principal, and Mrs. Sullivan from First Steps joined students and families to celebrate the completion of the summer program and officially welcome them to the Redcliffe family. We are excited to watch these students continue to learn and grow in the coming school year!
