A huge thank you to Mr. King Laurence and the Rotary club for donating dictionaries to all of our 3rd grade students! It's one of our favorite traditions here at the 'Cliffe! We also got the chance to welcome our favorite interim principal back home! Even if it was only for a few minutes!

Congratualtions to the winners of our Redcliffe Elementary School Spelling Bee! Our 1st place champion is Christopher Vanderhoff, our 2nd place champion is Joshua Jenkins, and our 3rd place/alternate speller is Isaiah Morgan! Our top two spellers will compete in the area-level spelling bee in December, with a chance at advancing to the district level competition! Thank you to Mrs. Lybrand, who served as our spelling bee coordinator and "Pronouncer", to our judges, to our parents and families who have supported our spellers, and to all who help to set up this morning's competition. Excellent job, 5th graders, and good luck to our spelling champions!

Redcliffe Turkey Trot and Fundraiser: Next Friday, November 21st. Are you ready to trot your way into the Thanksgiving break? 4K and 5K start at 7:45am, 1st and 2nd grades start at 8:30AM, and 3rd through 5th grades start at 10:30am. All visitors and cheering sections-- please sign in at the office with your picture ID!

5th Grade Parents and Guardians--just a reminder that the deadline for the 5th Grade yearbook baby pictures and dedications is fast approaching, and there are only 15 spots left! We will accept payments, pictures, and dedications until December 12th, or until those last 15 spots are filled! We are sorry, but we only have 15 spots left, and they will be filled on a first-paid, first-filled basis. We can not accept pictures, dedications, or payments after December 12th. iReady testing is in full swing! We are so thankful to our Spirit Team, The Bear Cubs, for encouraging us and helping us get READY for iREADY at last Friday's pep rallies! Please join us by wearing purple to show our Redcliffe school spirit in support of our military families who serve in our community. "PURPLE UP” FRIDAY NOVEMBER 14. "Purple up" with Aiken County Public Schools on Friday, November 14, as we combine Air Force blue, Army green, Navy blue, Marine red, Space Force blue and Coast Guard blue and wear PURPLE in a demonstration of support for the families of those who serve. Help us honor the month of The Military Family by showing your support for the families of those who serve by wearing purple and thanking a military family for their bravery and service.

We would like to invite parents/relatives of our Redcliffe students who have served or is currently serving in the Armed Forces to attend our program on Friday, November 14th. The program will begin at 9 with a light continental breakfast at 8:45am.

Invitations are going home in Thursday folders today! Please RSVP by Wednesday, November 12th to ensure we have enough breakfast for everyone.

"It's Spooky to be Hungry" Update:
Our amazing RES Student Council leveled up on service and kindness this month with the help of their peers by collecting over 500 food items for Golden Harvest Food Bank! To be exact--536 acts of love pouring straight into our community! These Bear Leaders are proving that when we work together, we can help every family feel supported and seen. Our top collecting winners were 4K, with 236 cans, Ms. Snyder's class, with 172 cans, and 3rd grade, with 117 cans! Way to go Redcliffe Bears! We have big hearts here at RES!
