In a short video released by the district, Superintendent Dr. Corey Murphy provides detailed information on the new state-required Personal Electronic Devices policy that will be implemented as student’s return from Winter Break in January.
Aiken County’s policy will allow middle and high school students to bring cell phones and other personal electronic devices , and accessories such as earbuds and AirPods to school, but they must remain powered off, stored in the student’s backpack or bag, and out of sight during the school day.
Progressive discipline measures will be enforced for violations of the policy. Parents are encouraged to watch this video with their student and discuss the policy and the consequences for students who are in violation. We thank you in advance for your understanding and support!

We are in need of a few things at Busbee to supply our snack packs. Every week, we send snack packs home with approximately 40 students. These snack packs provide basic meals over the weekend for these students. Normally, these are provided to us by Golden Harvest Food Bank, but Hurricane Helene destroyed one of their major distribution centers. We just sent out last GH snack packs home on Friday, and we need items (not money) to keep this going for the foreseeable future.
If you have a little extra, please consider sending in:
Mac and cheese cups
Chef boyardee cups
Applesauce
Fruit cups
Juice boxes
Cereal in pre-packaged bowls
Cheese crackers/gold fish
Nutra-grain bars
Individual boxes of milk (for cereal)
Thank you for any thing you can send in! And again, we need items, NOT money.
If you would like to have things shipped to us, our mailing address is 20 AL Corbett Circle, Wagener, SC 29164
