Can you believe we have reached the final weeks of the school year? May is always a whirlwind of activity, celebration, and reflection, and we are so incredibly proud of the growth every student has shown. As we head into this exciting week, please review the schedule and important reminders below to keep your student on track and ready to celebrate.
Week at a Glance:
Monday, May 18th (S Day)
Tuesday, May 19th (T Day) – 4th Grade Testing: SC Ready Science Testing (Last day of state testing!). Attendance is critical on this day. Please ensure your 4th grader gets a good night's rest, eats a healthful breakfast, avoids any morning appointments, and arrives at school prior to 7:30 AM.
Wednesday, May 20th (U Day): Regular school day for students.
Thursday, May 21st (V Day): House Party! We are excited to celebrate Reveur!
Friday, May 22nd (W Day) – End-of-Year Celebrations:
8:00 AM - Senior Walk: High School Seniors who previously attended BES will return to walk our halls one last time!
8:30 AM - 4K Awards Ceremony
5K Awards Ceremonies (by class):
10:00 AM: Classes for Ms. Jenison & Ms. Gay
11:00 AM: Classes for Ms. Lane & Ms. Carpenter
Looking Ahead & Action Items:
Get Next Year's Teacher Assignment early! Parents are highly encouraged to complete registration now. Students who are fully registered with 2 proofs of residency turned in will be eligible to receive their next year's teacher assignment right after the awards ceremonies!
How to Register: Log in to aiken.powerschool.com, click "Returning Student Registration for 2026-2027" on the left menu, and enter your student's birthday to begin. If you need assistance, contact the front office at 803-442-6330.
If you have a rising kindergarten student or know of one- share about Kindercamp! It will be Wednesday, July at 8th with two time choices: 4-5 or 5:30-6:30! RSVP to CFerrell557@acpsd.net.
Dill-icious Pickles: Friday, May 22nd is the absolute last day to purchase pickles for $1 in Quarles Corner (7:15–7:45 AM) to help support our future 2nd graders' upcoming trip to the zoo!
