Test Dates

BELVEDERE, SC – As the calendar turns to May, Belvedere Elementary School is gearing up for a high-energy conclusion to the 2025-2026 academic year. School leadership has officially kicked off a month dedicated to academic achievement, student celebrations, and preparations for the upcoming "trek" into the next school year.

The Final Academic Push Testing season is front and center this month as 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students prepare for the SC READY assessments. Principal Allyson Long and her administration team are calling on parents to act as "co-pilots" during this critical window.

The testing schedule is as follows:

  • May 5: Writing (Grades 3-5)

  • May 7-8: Reading (Grades 3-5)

  • May 12 & 14: Math (Grades 3-5)

  • May 19: Science (4th Grade only)

School officials are emphasizing the importance of "Resting Up and Fueling Up," urging families to ensure students arrive by 7:30 a.m. to maintain a focused testing environment.

A Season of Celebration Once the pencils are down, the festivities begin. The final week of May will see a flurry of activity, beginning with the traditional Senior Walk and 4K/5K awards on Friday, May 22. The celebrations continue through the last day of school on May 28, with award ceremonies scheduled for every grade level.

A highlight for the outgoing 5th-grade class will be their promotion ceremony, held at North Augusta High School on the evening of May 26.

Looking Toward the Horizon While the current year is ending, Belvedere is already looking toward the 2026-2027 school year, themed "Mission: Excellent."

Registration is currently open via PowerSchool. In a move to encourage early enrollment, the school has announced that families who complete registration and provide two proofs of residency can receive their child’s 2026-2027 teacher assignment immediately following their end-of-year award ceremony.

Important Reminders for Families For those who missed the initial yearbook deadline, the school has confirmed that late orders can still be placed through TreeRing for home delivery.

As the "Bears" prepare for summer break, the administration is already eyeing the starting line for next year, with Kinder Camp set for July 8 and the first day of the new school year scheduled for July 20, 2026.

"We are so proud of the growth every student has shown," said the administration in a joint statement. "Let's finish strong and celebrate our collective achievements."
