  • DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE WORK STUDY SESSION - Come to the Media Center on Wednesday, September 18 during the first half of Power Hour to meet with the Department of Defense and find out about intelligence careers and their work study program for rising juniors.

  • COLLEGE APPLICATION DAY - The South Aiken High School Counseling Department will hold College Application Day for all seniors on Thursday, September 19, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. - noon in the SAHS Media Center. Representatives from many schools will be present. Application fee waivers will be available from some colleges. Seniors are encouraged to take advantage of this special opportunity!

  • DAY OF CARING - Mark your calendars and join us for Aiken County Public School District's annual Day of Caring on Saturday, September 21 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. We will be providing a free car wash for all City of Aiken Public Safety and Aiken County Sheriff's Office vehicles. All student groups interested in volunteering should arrive by 8:30 a.m. to assist with set-up. We are in need of garden hoses, buckets, and soap to wash the vehicles.

  • PREPARE FOR FAMILY EMERGENCIES WITH SMART911 - We are fortunate in Aiken County to have access to a free service called SMART911. The service allows families to register their homes and occupants for the purpose of providing law enforcement and first responders with immediate access to life-saving information in the event of a call for help to 911. During an actual emergency, first responders will have this vital information relayed to them before they arrive. Signing up is fast, easy, and free!
