Let’s show our Millbrook Chorus some love!
💙🐎 October is National Principal Month, and we have a pretty special reason to celebrate at Millbrook!
If you know Mrs. Osteen, you know how much she loves this school. She is the first to cheer us on, the first to jump in when someone needs help, and one of the biggest advocates our students could ever ask for. No matter what the day brings, she shows up for our staff, our students, and our families with so much heart.
She believes in our people, pushes us to be our best, and celebrates our wins right alongside us. And those wins have been BIG! Two years in a row earning an EXCELLENT rating! 🎉 We are so proud of what our Millbrook family has accomplished, and we are thankful for the leadership that continues to help us grow. 💙
Mrs. Osteen, we hope you know that all the little things you do, the encouragement you give, the problems you help solve, the students you stand up for, and the passion you bring to Millbrook every day make a difference in ways you may never fully see. You give so much of yourself to this school, and we are so lucky to have you leading our Colts.
We appreciate you more than words can say, and we hope you feel just a little of the love you pour into all of us!
Help us celebrate our amazing Mrs. Osteen! She deserves all the love today and every day! 🐎

🎃 ONE WEEK TO GO! 🍂
Our STEAM Title I Fall Festival is just ONE WEEK AWAY, and we are SO EXCITED to welcome our amazing families for an evening of fun, learning, creativity, and fall festivities!
BUT WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP! We are still in need of volunteers to help with:
Setup – Help us get everything ready!
Sign-In – Welcome our wonderful families!
Cleanup – Help us wrap up the festivities!
It takes a village to make events like this a success, and we KNOW we can make this festival amazing when we work together! Every helping hand makes a difference, and we are so grateful for our school community.

The Aiken Lions Club will be at Millbrook Elementary on Wednesday, October 14, providing FREE vision screenings for our students!
✨ A few important reminders for parents:
👓 If your child wears glasses, please make sure they wear their glasses to school that day.
📝 Do NOT want your child screened? Please send a note with your student no later than tomorrow, October 13th requesting that they not participate.
📬 What happens if a potential vision concern is detected? Parents will be notified through a referral letter recommending a comprehensive follow-up eye exam with an optometrist or ophthalmologist. A screening is not a diagnosis, but it can help identify students who may benefit from further evaluation. This letter will be sent home within several weeks after the screening.
The Aiken Lions Club vision screening program is designed to help identify potential vision concerns and connect families with appropriate follow-up care.
For more information about the Lions vision screening program, visit https://lionsvisionscreening.com/
Thank you, Aiken Lions Club, for supporting the vision and success of our Millbrook students! 👀🦁💙💛
