Born in Catalonia, Spain, and raised in Miami, Florida, Lorgia Bermudez brings a rich blend of heart and dedication to New Ellenton Middle School students. She began her career in Aiken County as a school bus driver before moving into food service, where she discovered how much she enjoyed working directly with students. After a combined 10 years serving students throughout the district, Lorgia has become a steady, positive presence who leads with patience, teamwork, and a genuine love for serving students.

What motivates her each day is simple: knowing students feel welcome in her cafeteria and have access to a healthy, nourishing meal. Outside of work, Lorgia loves spending time with her family, whether they’re enjoying a BBQ, riding four‑wheelers, or relaxing outdoors. With a goal of continuing to grow in her career and providing a good life for her family, Lorgia embodies the heart of school nutrition. We’re proud to celebrate her as our January Manager of the Month.
