AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WFXG) - FOX54 is thrilled to announce this week’s A+ Athlete, a student who’s proving that excellence isn’t just reserved for the field—it belongs in the classroom too. Each week during the school year, one standout student is recognized for their achievements in academics and athletics. At the end of the year, one A+ Athlete will receive a $2,000 scholarship, thanks to our sponsors F&M Bank and The Joint Chiropractic of Augusta and Evans.
This week’s A+ Athlete is Jason Howard Britain, Jr. of Aiken Scholars Academy. Known to many as “JJ,” he’s making waves both academically and athletically. With a remarkable GPA of 5.04, JJ is a member of the Beta Club and the National Honor Society. He’s also a National Merit Scholarship semi-finalist and earned a perfect math score on his PSAT. On top of that, he’s currently taking 48 hours of college credit at USCA.
