Families of students who may be eligible for content recovery will be contacted next week. To qualify, students must have completed all assigned assessments and have a grade below 60.
Please note: homeschool intersession recovery does not apply to Aiken Innovate courses. Content recovery will be assigned and managed by Aiken Innovate teachers following fall break.

This is Mr. Fowler, Aiken iNNOVATE Administrator.
As we approach the end of Quarter 1, it is extremely important that all students work diligently to complete any eligible outstanding assignments in all of their classes before the Quarter 1 coursework deadline, which is September 18 for Aiken Innovate.
Due to legislative changes, students must meet specific requirements to qualify for district recovery programs. To qualify, students must complete all assigned assessments for the Aiken iNNOVATE program by September 18. Any assignment listed in PowerSchool under the Assessment category must be completed by this deadline.
Students who complete all assigned assessments will qualify for recovery only if they earn an average below 60 for Quarter 1. To clarify, if a student fails a class for Quarter 1 but does not complete all assessments due by September 18—and those missing assessments are reported on the Quarter 1 report card—the student will not qualify for recovery, and the failing grade will stand for Quarter 1.
Please remember that assessments must be scheduled using the Test Scheduler. Parents and learning coaches should carefully review student grades in the PowerSchool portal. Any item listed as an assessment should be scheduled immediately.
Waiting until the last minute could result in technology issues or testing-session availability problems that may prevent a student from completing an assessment on time. Please plan accordingly and contact your student’s teachers if you have questions about what must be completed before the deadline.

All 6th through 8th grade students are invited to participate in ACPSD's CTE Innovation STEM Camp!
WHEN: September 28th -October 1st from 8:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. daily
WHAT: All Aiken County Public School sixth through eighth grade students are invited to participate in ACPSD's CTE Innovation STEM Camp! Students will engage in fun, hands-on STEM challenges, build real world skills, solve problems and discover what they’re capable of creating! Students will select up to three courses to participate in throughout the day where they will learn about of drones, e-sports, robotics and cybersecurity.
WHERE: Schofield Middle School, 224 Kershaw Street, NE Aiken, SC 29801. There is no cost to participate in the camp.

This week marks the Quarter 1 interim point and the start of our fifth week of school. Grades are entered and updated weekly, and all student grades will be current for the interim date on August 19.
✅ Please take time to review your student’s grades in PowerSchool. If you need help accessing PowerSchool on your phone or signing up for the Parent Portal, contact our office or your student’s home school office.
💻 Reminder: District devices are for school-related use only. Devices are monitored by Linewize, and alerts are sent when potentially dangerous or inappropriate content is detected. Personal conversations, writing, and other non-school activities should take place on personal devices.
📝 We also want to remind students and families about academic integrity expectations. Students do not receive redo opportunities after an academic integrity violation. When students are unsure about an assignment, please encourage them to contact their teacher for support before submitting their work.
