    District Appoints Kathy Langston Director of Teaching And Learning

    With over three decades of experience in education, nineteen of which have been spent as an educator and district leader in Aiken County, Kathy Langston, has always had a passion for education that drives her commitment to ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. She currently serves as a Coordinator for the Office of Federal Programs, and will expand her role in the 2024-25 school year as the district’s new Director of Teaching and Learning.

    Seamless Summer Meal Program At No Cost To Students

    Healthy meals are provided at no cost this summer to school-age children 18 years and under as well as disabled children/persons 21 years and under who are enrolled in school.

    John Murphy Named Director Of Maintenance And Operations

    Experienced educator and longtime principal John Murphy will transition from school to district leadership as the school system’s new Director of Maintenance and Operations. Murphy’s appointment was approved during the regular meeting of the Aiken County Board of Education on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. He’ll begin serving in his new role in July.
