LEHMAN NAMED ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL AT HIGHLAND SPRINGS MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR UPCOMING 2023-24 SCHOOL YEAR
Jeremy Lehman has been named as an assistant principal at Highland Springs Middle School for the upcoming 2023-24 school year.
Lehman currently serves as a Social Studies teacher at North Augusta High School. His appointment as assistant principal for the District’s new middle school was approved during the regular meeting of the Aiken County Board of Education on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
Lehman’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Studies Education from Bowling Green State University (2009) and a Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University (2020). He earned his Secondary Educational Leadership Certificate from Georgia Southern University in 2022.
His career in education began in 2009 as a Social Studies teacher at Allendale-Fairfax Middle School in Fairfax, South Carolina. In 2011, Lehman transitioned to the high school level, serving as a Social Studies teacher and Career and Technology Education administrator for Williston-Elko High School for 8 years before stepping into an assistant administrator role at Gray Collegiate Academy in 2018.
During his 14 years in education, Lehman has twice been named his school’s Teacher of the Year. He is a member of the Social Studies Master Teacher Series and completed Aiken County’s Aspiring Administrator Academy in 2023.
Lehman is honored to be a part of the Highland Springs administrative team for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. “I am excited to bring out the best in our students, staff, and families,” he shared. “I feel it is important for everyone to be a part of this unique opportunity in creating their own legacy at HSMS.”
Lehman will begin his new role as assistant principal at Highland Springs Middle School in July.
