Mrs. Meredith Leopard

Welcome to my webpage and thank you for visiting! My name is Meredith Leopard and I am the art teacher at Hammond Hill Elementary. I am starting my 16th year in art education. I achieved my Bachelors in Fine Arts from the University of South Carolina -Aiken and my Masters of Art in Teaching from Lander University in Greenwood. I taught an education class at USCA for about 5 years on integrating the arts into the elementary curriculum. I am passionate about the arts and feel that they play a vital role in helping students succeed in ALL subject areas. My lessons will always include one or more of the core subjects along with cultural enrichment. On a personal note, I am married and have two step daughters. We are a close family and I have traveled to Alaska which was an amazing experience! I love being outside, especially to ride my motorcycle or go to the lake. We have 2 dogs, Huckleberry and Sawyer. I am constantly creating art at home on my own time and enjoy drawing pet portraits but also making dragon sculptures, which is something that recently caught my attention when I was inspired by another artist from Seattle Washington named Dan Reeder. As always, I am looking forward to a productive and fun year with these students filled with new adventures and learning experiences!
