Mr. Dennis Shoemaker

My name is Dennis Shoemaker a new teacher at North Augusta High School. I teach Special Education and coach football here. I have nine years of experience in the special education field. I did five years in Georgia and four in South Carolina. Before teaching, I began my military career in 1980 as an Amy Reservist. I did an additional four years in the Marine Corps. After leaving the Marine Corp, I become an Army officer from 1990 to 2004. I retired from the military on April 30, 2004, after 24 years of military service. I graduated from the following intuitions to include: BA Education from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas; AS in Electronics from Antelope Valley JC in Lancaster, CA; and MA in Business Management from National University in San Diego, CA; and a Masters of Arts in Special Education Georgia Regents University in Augusta, Georgia. Coach Shoemaker is currently taking classes for a Doctorate in Education at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. I taught JROTC for three years at Kingstree, South Carolina, and Progreso High School in Texas. Each of these programs received honor unit with distinction under his leadership. He worked as an instructor at the alternative school at Calhoun County High School. Coach Shoemaker is currently single and has four children, Megan (36) yoga instructor, Allison (31) office manager, Andrew (29) CPA, and Lauren student (27).
