Degrees and Certifications:
A California native with over 30 years of Hosptality experience and 8 years of teaching experience. I've cooked and served in Sacramento, Seattle, Monterey Bay, Carmel, and most recently, the Napa Valley. Favorite industry people who have inspired me include Chef Armando Navarro Garcia of El Dorado Kitchen in Sonoma, Ca., and Chef Curtis DiFede of Miminashi in Napa, Ca. They are incredible cooks and just all around unforgetable human beings.
Personal passions include hand-made food with local and/or seasonal ingredients that celebrate the history and culture of where we live. Learning to be a great cook happens every day at every meal.
My most impactful work experience is my work at the restaurant called The French Laundry in Yountville, Ca. Very few places and people take restaurant work as seriously as they do.
My absolute favortie restaurant to have worked at is REDD Restaurant, in Yountville, Ca. where I worked hard, had great fun, and met my husband, also an amazing cook. I wouldn't be where I am now as a cook without him and his support.
My greatest challenge is to teach young people to see great cooking as something bigger than they might think it is.
