Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Eric Hofstetter

My name is Eric Hofstetter.  I will be teaching Earth Science and Photography of Science this year at North Augusta High School.  I have also agreed to be the new swim team coach.  Previously, I have been teaching life science (Biology, Marine Science, and Anatomy) at Silver Bluff High School for the past 28 years.  During that time, I was an assistant varsity football coach for 25 years and the head softball coach for 22 years.  I graduated with a Biology degree and played football for Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. In 2013, I obtained my Master’s Degree in Education from Walden University.  In 2019, I started my swim coaching career with the Aiken-Augusta Swim League.  I have been married to my wife Melissa for the past 16 years and have two daughters, Lauren and Gina.  Lauren, age 13, will be going into 8th grade while Gina, age 12, will be going into 7th grade.  Both of my daughters attend New Ellenton Middle School and are both on the ASL swim team.  I have 2 dogs; Oakley a boxer and Cooper a golden doodle.  In my spare time, I love to work around the house and watch sports (especially football).  I am looking forward to teaching and coaching at North Augusta High School.
