Bachelors English Individualized Program University of Tennessee Knoxville
Hello and welcome to my page! My name is Whitney Chipman and I am new to South Aiken High this year. I am teaching English 2, English 2 Honors, and English 3. I am originally from Morristown, a small town in East Tennessee. After high school I joined the US Navy as a linguist, then graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2016. My husband is a licensed massage therapist and my best friend. I am blessed to be a mom, my kids Sebastian and Esther bring me so much joy. I also have two fur babies: Rosie a german shepherd mix puppy, and Billie Holiday, a tuxedo cat. In my spare time I like to read, bike, garden, make art, travel, and spend time with my family. In the fall you can find me hiking or watching LSU, Saints, and UT football.
Though this school year may bring challenges, I am determined and ready to face them head on. I am so excited to be teaching and will do my best to not only educate, but to help my students feel safe and ready for the future. A quote I will be focusing on this year comes from Dan Zadra, who said, "Worry is just a misuse of the imagination."
