Ms. Sylvia Gay

Greetings, NAMS' students and parents.  It is with great joy that I introduce myself, Sylvia Gay, one of the administrators serving you for the 2022-2023 school year.

As a product of Aiken County Public Schools , I attended Gloverville Elementary, Jefferson Junior High, Leavelle McCambell Middle School, and Midland Valley High School. [Ooopppsss, I'm telling my age ;) ]  After graduating from MVHS, I became a PACER, graduating from USC-Aiken with a Bachelor in Elementary Education.

The next chapter of my life included teaching middle level science for 7 years at PKMS.  While teaching science, I pursued a Master of Education in Leadership and a Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.   For the next 13 years, I served as an Assistant Principal at ACPS.

During my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My grandbabies are the loves of my life. I also enjoy traveling to various casinos.  My favorite food is Chick-fil-A and my favorite candies are Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Demet's Turtles.

It is my mission to ensure every student receives a quality education.   I look forward to partnering with every student, teacher, parent, and community member to ensure every student is successful and a life-long learner.

Masters of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Augusta University

Mr. Daniel Hamilton

I am excited about the 2022-2023 school year! NAMS offers an elite learning experience with great teachers, students, parents, and a supportive community! I look forward to continue this experience with all of you.

My education experience began here in Aiken County Public Schools. After graduating from Aiken High School, I attended the University of South Carolina – Columbia. One of my favorite memories of college was traveling to Madison Square Gardens, in NYC, to cheer on the Gamecocks as a member of the basketball band. I’ve spent the past 11 years at Redcliffe Elementary School in Jackson, SC working with a diverse student population. During my time at Redcliffe, I enrolled at Augusta University and completed a Masters of Education degree in Educational Leadership. In 2019, I completed the ACPSD Leadership Academy offered by our district leadership team.

I live here in North Augusta with my wife, two children, and our two dogs – Sophie and Lady Carolina.

I encourage you to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have. I can be reached at 803-442-6200 or by email at thamilton@acpsd.net. I look forward to welcoming you as a member of the NAMS family.
