EARLY COLLEGE PARTICIPATION INFORMATION
The Early College program at MVHS enables eligible high school students to take college courses beginning their sophomore year in high school and receive both high school and college credit for those courses. Students who successfully complete the program will graduate from high school with both a high school diploma and an Associate in Arts and/or an Associate in Science degree from Aiken Technical College.
We are currently building the Early College cohort to begin next year. In order to apply for Early College, you must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA (weighted) and be a rising sophomore. You can also qualify by having received a 500 on the English, Reading, and Writing portion of the PSAT. Applications will be completed here at MVHS on April 26th and April 28th with an advisor from ATC guiding students through the application process and documents. Teacher recommendations are due no later than Friday, April 23, 2021 and given to Ms. Moak in the School Counseling Office. You may also email Ms. Moak with any questions or concerns. Please be sure to get 2 Teacher Recommendation Forms Submitted. You may print or ask them to locate the form on on this webpage.
It is recommended that you make a note of the names of the teachers you ask to complete recommendations in case you need to follow up.
*All application documents will be submitted on one of the application days in April. Parents will be able to access the parent signature document electronically and must complete the form by May 7, 2021.
