    PROJECT MANUAL

    The School District of Aiken County will accept bids for the “2024 Painting of Chukker Creek Elementary School” Sealed bids will be received by the Owner until 2:00 p.m. on March 20, 2024, at the Facilities Construction Department of the Aiken County Public Schools Operations Center Attn: Facilities Construction Dept., at 61 Given Street, (2nd Floor) Aiken, South Carolina 29805, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Performance and Labor/Materials (Payment) Bonds along with notarized Power of Attorney will be required.

    The non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on March 6, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at 1830 Chukker Creek Road,  Aiken, SC 29803.  The project manual and all addendums can be found on the web at www.acpsd.net , click Departments > Facilities Construction.  All Contractor’s will be required to inspect the school by contacting the school by email susanh@acpsd.net  for a predetermined appointment after the pre bid meeting.  Sign in sheets will be available at the front office.

    The School District of Aiken County will accept bids for the “2024 Vinyl Chain Link Commercial Fencing Project at North Augusta Elementary and Hammond Hill Elementary Schools”.  Bids will be received via facsimile (803) 642-0436, or via U.S.P.S. / expedited mail by the Owner until 2:00 p.m. on February 22, 2024, at the Facilities Construction Department of the Aiken County Public Schools' Operations Center 61 Given Street Aiken, SC 29805. It is the contractor’s responsibility to ensure that their bid has been received by the owner prior to the above required date and time.

    The School District of Aiken County will accept proposals for the “2024 Districtwide Fencing Installation”.  Proposals will be received by the Owner until 2:00 p.m. on February 13, 2024, at the Facilities Construction Department of the Aiken County Public Schools Operation Center, Attn: Facilities Construction at 61 Given Street, (2nd Floor) Aiken, South Carolina 29805.  The Owner may elect to award an annual contract to more than one (1) Contractor for various schools on an annual basis.

    Due to the possibility of negotiation with any offer submitting a proposal which appears to be eligible for contract award pursuant to the section criteria set forth in this “Request For Proposal” (RFP), prices will not be divulged at the time of closing.

  • INVITATION TO BID: New Construction of Renovations and Additions to J.D. Lever Multipurpose Building

     

    INVITATION TO BID

    Sealed bids for New Construction of Renovations and Additions to J.D. Lever Multipurpose Building, located on the campus of J.D. Lever Elementary School in Aiken, South Carolina for the Aiken County Public School District will be received until 2:00 P.M. on February 14, 2024 at the Aiken County Public Schools Operation Center, Facilities Construction, located at 61 Given Street (2nd Floor), Aiken, South Carolina 29805, at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud.   

    Digital copies of bidding requirements, plans, and specifications may be obtained free of charge directly from MOTA Design, 201 Columbia Mall Blvd, Suite 207, Columbia, SC 29223. Contact Ardéja Griffin at email agriffin-nimako@motadcd.com.  Bidding documents may also be inspected at the office of the Architect.

    All bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, in the amount of 5% of the base bid payable to Aiken County Public Schools Board of Trustees with Notarized Power of Attorney. 

    The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum with Notarized Power of Attorney. 

    No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening of the bids without the consent of the owner. 

    The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. 

    Applicants must have a contractor license in the state of South Carolina, and must be qualified under the provisions of the contractor's licensing law "(South Carolina Code of Laws of 1976, Title 40, Chapter 11)".  This project is covered under provisions of code of laws of South Carolina (1976) and as amended.

    Applicants may deliver their bids in-person or by mail.  After delivery, the in-person bid opening will be limited to a maximum of 10 general contractors (this may be subject to change, please check https://www.acpsd.net/site/Default.aspx?PageID=142 for bid updates). 

    A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 9:00 A.M. on January 31, 2024 at J.D. Lever Multipurpose Building, virtually through a Zoom meeting link. Contact Ardéja Griffin at agriffin-nimako@motadcd.com to confirm attendance and receive the zoom link. 

    Please note that potential general contractors should limit their attendees to one or two representatives. No subcontractors should attend the pre-bid meeting.  Sub-contractors will be afforded access to the site following the meeting and as highlighted below.

    REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

    The School District of Aiken County will accept “Request for Proposals in the 2023 selection of Construction Management at Risk Contractor Services” for various future school additions and renovations which are located in Aiken County, South Carolina.  Project management, contract administration & construction monitoring at risk services are based on approval of a 1% local sales tax increase.   All work is to be done in accordance with the S/C Office of School Facilities guidelines. The “Request For Proposals” package RFP# 121223 to use for submittals are available upon written request from Kevin Chipman, Director of Facilities Construction, Email: kchipman@acpsd.net, and Beth Clark, Administrative Assistant, Email:  bclark@acpsd.net  Fax:  803-642-0466 or Phone:  803-642-0436.
