Mr. James Kelly
Hi! I'm James Kelly and I am a seventh and eighth grade social studies teacher at New Ellenton Middle Steam Magnet School. The 2020-2021 school year marks my second year at the school and I am excited to bring my love of learning to each and every student! This year is a continuation of unpredictability, but together we will be able to give your student(s) the best education they can receive!
I am a graduate of USCA's Secondary Education program, and am certified to teach 5th-12th grade Social Studies. I am prior service military (army 2007-2014) and I love to travel and experience Social Studies first hand, through exploration and social interaction with various cultures. Some of the places I have traveled to include: El Salvador, Honduras, Romania, Afghanistan, Mexico and many more. Through these experiences I feel I can bring social studies to life for students. I am also happily married and have a daughter who is starting her first year of kindergarten. I look forward to teaching your student(s) this year!
