One thing is for sure, all parents want to see their child(ren) excel in school.  As the testing season approaches, parents can play an important role in helping their children give their best performance on a test.

The annual South Carolina Assessments will be administered to students at Mossy Creek Elementary in grades 3-5 and the South Carolina Department of Education has determined the assessments that will be given to students across the state for the school year.

VERY IMPORTANT - The Aiken County Schools has set the schedule this year so that all grade levels across the district will take the same test on the same day.  We encourage parents to not make plans on these dates, so that students can be present, and on time.  Please click on the date and time links to the left for more information:

    The Night Before Testing:
    1. Make sure your child gets an ample, normal amount of sleep the night before the test .
    2. Keep your routine as normal as possible.
    3. Mention the test to show you are interested but do not dwell on it.

    The Morning of the Test:
    1. Be sure your child is at school on time.
    2. Provide a good breakfast for your child.
    3. Have your child dress in something comfortable.
    4. Be positive about the test and encourage your child to do their best.
