Literacy Coach

About Coach Walker:

As the Literacy Coach of JD Lever Elementary, it is my responsibility to ensure teachers have access to quality instructional materials and support our teachers as they implement best practices for Literacy Instruction in our 4K-5th grade classrooms. My role includes meeting regularly with each grade level of teachers to bring relevant, research-based strategies and to grow together as a team. I also have the opporunity to work alongside teachers and students in the classroom through coaching cycles and co-teaching. My goal as a Literacy Coach is to support our teachers and students as we all set and achieve our individual goals!
