BS - Business Administration with Concentration in Marketing SC PACE Program
Mrs. Amber Stokes
Hello! I am so excited to be teaching Business Education at Midland Valley! I graduated from the University of South Carolina Aiken in 2007 with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. From 2006 - 2018 I worked at Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations in Graniteville, SC in various roles and departments (Intern, Company Store Manager, Human Resources Assistant, and Business Assistant). I was in the role of Business Assistant for 8 years before deciding to transition over into the wonderful world of teaching! While working at Bridgestone, I was also able to live out my dream of owning my own Competitive Cheerleading Gym for a few years! I have always had a passion for working with the youth and feel that I will be able to relate what we learn in the classroom to some real world, on the job experiences. One of my goals for the courses that I teach is to help ensure that students are career and/or college ready!
I was born and raised in Aiken and currently live there with my husband (Jason) and two sons (Cameron who is 7 years old and Tanner who is 4 years old). I LOVE spending time with my family and look forward to my 2nd year of teaching and being a part of the Mustang family!

Midland Valley High School DECA and Marketing Program!
Marketing explores multiple forms of communication and creative strategies used to attract an audience. Areas of focus include marketing fundamentals, advertising, public relations, selling, digital media, social media and professional leadership.
Skills and concepts in Marketing are used across all career and subject areas. As part of the Marketing program, students may also join DECA, a co-curricular student organization providing opportunities in community service, leadership, professional development and competitions.
Any student who joins DECA, no matter what your professional aspirations, will learn valuable skills that can be used in every part of life and in every career field!
Here are just a few of the benefits of DECA membership, which can be applicable to any student in your school:
1. DECA teaches self-promotion skills.
2. DECA builds writing skills.
3. DECA educates members about the power of social media.
4. DECA leads to college acceptance, scholarships, and jobs.
5. DECA instills the importance of improvisation.
6. DECA forms strong friendships.
Email me if you are interested in more information about the MVHS Marketing program and DECA club.
