Mrs. Sonya Lee
My name is Sonya Lee and I am a Special Education Teacher at Leavelle McCampbell Middle School. This is my second year teaching in the Emotional Disability class.
I was born and raised in White Plains, Georgia where I graduated from Greene-Taliferro Comprehensive High School. I received a basketball scholarship from Truett McConnell College where I played from 1994-1996. After receiving my AA from there, I received my BS degree from Georgia and State University. I also recieved my M.Ed in Counseling and Psychology from Troy State University and my MS in Counseling and Psychology from Troy University. I have worked with foster children and families as well as families in crisis for the past 17 years. I have a lot of experience working with children and I understand the concerns and frustations that parents may have for his or her child.
I am married to Kamar Lee and we have four wonderful boys and we currently live in Aiken, SC. We enjoy traveling, going to church and spending time with our family. I describe myself as "dedicated". I am dedicated to the well being of all children and their outcome to help them become productive citizens in the community.
Please know that I am available by appointment from 7:30-7:50 a.m. and after school to assist with any needs or concerns you may have.
