Meet the teacher

This is my second year at Jackson Stem Middle School. I am teaching Read 180, Math 180 and one 6th grade English Language Arts Class.  I worked 40 years in Richmond County School System. I was employed 28 years in the classroom and 12 in Title I as a Reading Coach and Program Specialist. I believe that all children can learn when presented with differentiated instruction. Therefore, you meet the needs of all learners and not just a selected few.  I welcome the opportunity to assist our students through their journey of success.
My favorite quote is: “Our greatest glory consists not in never falling, but rising every time we fall.”  My goal is to assist all students in improving lexile scores, to exempt Read 180 and Math 180. I enjoy fishing, golfing, writing, line dancing and concerts.
