Bachelor of Science: Elementary Education & Middle School Mathematics
My name is Jaclyn Feddema and I am a 5th grade Math and Science teacher here at Jefferson Elementary. I was born and raised in Michigan, but have recently relocated to South Carolina. I absolutely love my dog, exercising, playing sports, reading, fishing, and being outdoors. I also enjoy traveling & spending time with my family. I am so excited to be teaching at Jefferson Elementary School and working with your children this school year!
I graduated from Western Michigan University in Michigan with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education. In college, I double majored in Elementary Education and Middle School Math. I have worked with children most of my adult life. Most recently, I intern taught at a STEM academy in Michigan. During my time at STEM, I taught 5thgrade math, science, social studies, and robotics. I have experience teaching students ranging in age from pre-school to 8thgrade.
My teaching Philosophy is simple and begins with building personal relationships with my students. I believe that positive student-teacher relationships are essential in order to create positive learning environments that ensure success for all students. I’m here to be an advocate for your child and will do my best in helping them reach their goals and become the best students they can be.
