Degrees and Certifications:
B.A. in English with a minor in Creative Writing University of Alaska Anchorage M.A.T. in Secondary Education University of Alaska Anchorage AP English Literature and Composition
2022-2023 will be my sixth year teaching at North Augusta High School. I will be teaching English !!! CP and Honors. I was born in Iowa but raised in Alaska. Speaking of Alaska, I moved to Aiken County from the Matanuska Susitna Borough and have been trying to adjust to the much, much hotter climate. My undergraduate and graduate degrees are from the University of Alaska Anchorage; go Seawolves! I have a 24-year-old daughter, Rian, that still lives in Alaska. While she loves the sunshine and beaches of S.C., she isn't ready to leave the frozen tundra yet.
I was lucky enough to study abroad for a summer during my undergraduate in Paris, France, which started a love affair with traveling. Outside of the classroom, some of my interests are reading, writing, photography, knitting, traveling, and video games.
This summer, I will go to England with students on an EF Tours trip and visit my daughter and parents in Alaska.
