My name is Suman Marks-Johnson (Ms. M-J) and I am excited to be an Aiken High Hornet! I have a wonderful family that includes four children and a husband, and I spend a great deal of time volunteering. I have previously worked in Early Intervention and with the Department of Health and Environmental Control in the Division of Children with Special Health Care Needs. I also have had the opportunity to assist in policy writing and reform and with training and technical assistance for special education in South Carolina and across the nation.
I enjoy using my background in training on self-advocacy and transition to help students realize their potential and to help them plan for their high school careers and for life thereafter. I have volunteered as a Beta Club Sponsor for 11 years and as a State Coordinator for Banner. I just finished a 2 year term as the State Sponsor and now serve on the State Council. I assist Ms. Hostetler with the Aiken High Beta Club.
