Special Education-Early Childhood Early Childhood
Mrs. Michelle Showman
Hello, my name is Michelle Showman and I will be teaching first grade for the 2022-2023 school year. This year will be my sixth year teaching at Redcliffe Elementary and my fifth year in first grade. I am formally known as Miss Holthaus before I got married in January of 2022. I am originally from a little town called Fort Loramie, Ohio. I went to Bowling Green State University in Ohio to get my Bachelor’s degree in Inclusive early childhood.
This year will be a little different due to the fact that I will be expecting my first child in October! I can't wait to take on the adventure of being a mother! Some more fun facts about me include that I love to run and hike. I love learning about new trails to explore and there are so many beautiful ones in the South Carolina/Georgia area. I also love to read, spend time with my dog, play the piano, travel, and just hang out with friends and family as much as I can. Lastly, my passion is teaching, especially teaching students to read. My goal every year is for my students to love reading as much or more than me. I can't wait for the adventure that this school year holds and all the learning we will be doing this year!
I can be reached at (803) 827-3350 or you can email me at mholthaus@acpsd.net.Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. I want to make this year as easy for parents and students as possible!
