Ms. Lori Secrist

I was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia.  From there, I landed in South Carolina on a softball scholarship at the University of South Carolina Aiken, pursued a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of South Carolina Columbia.  A few years back, I went on to earn an Education Specialist degree from Augusta University in Education Administration.  I have taught in several district elementary schools and have served as the assistant principal at the Center for Innovative Learning in Aiken County. I have earned and renewed my National Board Certification through an intense process.  Recently, I was selected as the District Health and Physical Education Coordinator for Aiken County (part time) which led me to Chukker Creek (part time).  Being at "The Creek" has felt like coming home.  The children and the staff here have been so pleasant and welcoming.  I work part time teaching at the University of South Carolina Aiken as an adjunct professor in the School of  Education.  My spare time is filled with family including a beautiful little girl and as much time kayaking as possible.
