Welcome to 5th Grade!

I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! This is my 21st year in education. I taught 5th grade for eleven years in Illinois, 4 years in private school in South Carolina,  4 years at Chukker Creek, and this is my second year at Byrd! I have a passion for teaching ELA and social studies! 

I am married and have four amazing children. They keep me busy on the baseball field, cross country trail, lacrosse and soccer field, and basketball court! In my spare time, I enjoy reading/journaling, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with my family. Chocolate and coffee are a must!
