Summer 2019 Content Recovery for Middle School Students

  • Content Recovery is an online, virtual program utilizing instructional software. Students who complete the program successfully may have their failing grade changed to a 60. 


    Summer School Lab Date & Times: 

    June 10 - 27, Monday through Thursday

    8:30 am - 11:30 am


    Student Eligibility

    1. Students who failed a class within the past year are eligible to participate in the content recovery program. 

    2. The time required to recover the content and obtain a passing grade will vary depending on your initial placement testing and your failing grade in the course. 

    3. The principal or his/her designee must approve the placement. 

    4. Students whose failing grade in the course was less than 50 will NOT be eligible for interscholastic sports in the fall semester due to South Carolina High School League guidelines, if that course was required for promotion. 


    Courses Eligible for Content Recover

    English/Language Arts 6, 7, 8

    Math 6,7,8

    Science 6,7,8

    Social Studies 6,7,8


    English I and Algebra I must be taken in the high school credit recovery program for eligible students. 

    Students may recover content in a maximum of 2 courses during this program.

  • Cost - $140 for up to 2 courses

    Certified check or money order only

    Payable at registration


    Refunds will NOT be issued after the first day of instruction (June 10)


    Content recovery is a proficiency-based program. You must satisfactorily complete the assigned modules to recover your credit. Merely attending the program does not guarantee that you will be able to recover your credit. 



    Students participating in Content Recovery are required to follow the guidelines of the district's Code of Student Conduct
