SIGNING OUT PROCEDURES
Students must not be signed out of school during class, but only during class changes. This procedure is necessary in order to conform to the state law concerning class disruptions.
STUDENTS WILL NOT BE DISMISSED FROM CLASS AT ANY OTHER TIME EXCEPT FOR AN EXTREME EMERGENCY.
STUDENTS CANNOT BE SIGNED OUT AFTER 2:45 P.M.
If a student has an appointment scheduled, he or she may bring a written note from the parent/guardian and have it approved in the main office before school.
The note should state:
1) The reason for the early dismissal.
2) A phone number of the parent/authorized adult signing out the student.
3) The time and date the student will be dismissed.
The student should show the note to the teacher at the beginning of class, and leave quietly at the necessary time without disturbing class.
*When signing out a student, please present photo ID to staff. We are required by law to check it.
If a parent/guardian brings a lunch to school, the parent/guardian will need to sign-in in the main office (during their student’s lunch period) and deliver the lunch to the student in the cafeteria. Lunches cannot be dropped off before the student’s lunch period. The office staff is not responsible for making sure your child has his/her lunch.
