Mrs. Coleman

I am so excited to have your child in my classes this year! I partner with Mrs. Kaune to team teach and this is our 5th year together. So regardless of your child’s homeroom teacher, they will have both teachers. We are going to have an amazing school year. This is my 9th year of teaching and I love being at JES. I teach Math and Science. Beginning two years ago, my class was a part of the new Full Circle Technology program. This means that everything will be primarily done online using district provided laptop/tablet hybrid computers. I love technology and I have a great deal of excitement for this program. I believe it is a benefit to students, which is very important because third grade is demanding. This year may likely be a challenge for your child. Even if they have been an honor roll student in the past, don’t be surprised if they face some struggles this year. Our standards are a part of a strenuous curriculum, but we have seen students obtain a deeper understanding of the material. A great deal of independence will be expected from your student this year. Your child’s educational success is my top priority. Mrs. Kaune and I believe that our role is to guide them and provide them with the tools they need to become independent, lifelong learners.

Jefferson is a wonderful family, but we also have our families at home. I am married with three fantastic children. My husband, Robert, works for Kimberly Clark. Our oldest child, Taylor, is a graduate from USCA with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a Neuroscience minor. Our middle child, Kali, is a graduate of Winthrop University with a Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications major. The youngest Coleman, Jaxen, is a sophomore Theatre major at USCA.  I am blessed to have fabulous work and home families.
