Mrs. Sarah Emerling
Hello! I'm excited to be co-teaching a fifth grade class with Mrs. Turner and Mrs. Butler, and a fourth grade class with Ms. Nealious and Mrs. Patterson. I will also be with a great group of fourth and fifth graders each morning. Students in co-taught classes get the benefit of having two certified teachers for that class period. My role this year will be to serve and support all students in those classes, as well as supporting teachers as they strive to meet our students' unique needs. On average, I'll be spending about 2 hours a day with the students in Mrs. Turner's and Ms. Nealious' homeroom students in both reading and math class. I am an enormous advocate of educational technology and teaching students to create their own learning. I am thrilled to be a part of the Full Circle Technology program. All of the classes I work with are 1:1 with laptops. As we explore the 1:1 technology environment, I'm eager to be a part of bringing 21st Century Learning to Hammond Hill. If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me.
