Darris Jackson

Darris Jackson is entering his fourth year as Head Men’s Basketball coach at Aiken High School. Since the 2014-15 season, the Aiken Hornets have amassed a record of 48-33, along with three straight Play-off appearances. During the 2016-17 season, with a record of 23-5, the Hornets won their first Region Championship since the 2003-04 season and advanced to the third round of the State Play-offs

Coach Jackson, a native of Clover, South Carolina, received his undergraduate degree from South Carolina State University in 2009, where he was a scholarship athlete, playing football and basketball for the Bulldogs. In 2009, he began his coaching career working with Men’s Basketball at SCSU. From 2012-2014, he was a member of the Men’s Basketball coaching staff at North Carolina A&T where the Aggies won the MEAC Championship in 2013, and won the first NCAA Tournament game in school history, before losing to the eventual National Champion, Louisville. During his time at NC A&T, he also received his Master’s degree in Health and Physical Education.
