At East Aiken School of the Arts, we are dedicated to our purpose to Accommodate differences, Reveal a passion for learning, Teach appreciation, and Stimulate creativity. We believe in educating the whole child and are passionate about developing students of character who understand the importance of communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.  As an Arts in Basic Curriculum school, we are committed to providing all students with a high quality, arts-infused education that addresses multiple intelligences and provides all students with a positive learning environment.  At East Aiken School of the Arts, we are helping all students develop the World Class Skills of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate by providing all students with a safe, accommodating, stimulating, artistically and academically challenging child-centered learning environment.  During the 2021-2022 school year, we will continue to strive for academic excellence through the arts by maintaining high expectations for teachers and students, providing rigorous, student-centered instruction, making data-driven instructional decisions, cultivating students of character, and building positive relationships with all stakeholders.

Parent involvement is a key factor in a student’s success at school.  We strongly believe that parents are our partners in educating our children and preparing them to be productive, caring, and contributing citizens.  Collaboration, cooperation, and communication between the home and school are crucial for a child’s success at school.  We welcome parent participation and support during the school year.  We encourage parents to be active members of our PTO or School Improvement Council and to take advantage of our many volunteer opportunities.  We are able to achieve more when we work together in our pursuit of academic excellence through the arts.

Our theme for the 2021-2022 school year is Explore the World Through Reading!  I am confident the 2021-2022 school year will be tremendously successful and full of new opportunities and learning for all!  We are thrilled to have you at East Aiken School of the Arts and look forward to a successful year!
