    SC College & Career Decision Day Rally – Wednesday, May 4 ~ 8:30 – 2 – SC State House in Columbia, SC - $5 plus lunch money.  More details to come.

    Senior Field Day – May 13 (Friday) - $16 Tickets will be sold NOW through 4/29 - Seniors* will be called to the commons first.  Then report to the football field for food and fun. *Only those seniors who have purchased a ticket are allowed to attend the Senior Field Day. No tickets will be sold on the day of field day.  School dress code is still in effect.

    Breakfast – May 20 (Friday) $28 Tickets will be sold 3/14 – 5/3. Business casual attire (see below) is required. Seniors* enjoy breakfast from Shealy’s and then go to the auditorium for entertainment. Seniors* report to first period and are called from first period. *Only those seniors who have purchased a ticket may attend.  Tickets canNOT be purchased the morning of Senior Breakfast. *No flip flops, jeans, or tennis shoes! Adhere to the MVHS dress code!              Business casual attire:     Guys: collared shirt, slacks           Girls: skirt with blouse, dress, pantsuit

    Baccalaureate Service – May 22 at 6pm at Christian Heritage Church in Graniteville - This service is not required.  Those attending should wear proper graduation attire, cap, & gown and report to the designated meeting area at 5:30 pm for line-up.  A reception follows the service.

    Senior Walk – Return to your elementary/middle schools in your cap and gown and walk the halls one last time.

    Graduation Meeting – Mandatory!  Friday, May 27 9:00am – 12:00 pmMVHS (school dress code).  All fees, books, locks, calculators, etc. should be taken care of before leaving school on THURS 5/26.

    Graduation Practice – Mandatory! Wednesday, June 1 - MVHS (school dress code).  NO ONE may leave for work or an appointment until all of practice is complete!

    Graduation – June 2nd @ 2pm – USC-Aiken Convocation Center (Seniors arrive at 12:45pm – Doors open at 1:00)

    *Students must attend both the graduation meeting and practice in order to participate in graduation.

    Meeting – Friday, May 27, 9-12 (MVHS auditorium!)    Practice – Wed, June 1, 1:00-UNTIL (MVHS gym!)

    We distribute tickets at the second practice. The number of tickets each graduate receives is determined by the number in the graduating class. We cannot tell you an exact number of tickets until the spring.  Only students who have met the graduation requirements and who have cleared all fees will receive tickets & participate in graduation.

    Proper attire for ladies:

    • School appropriate black dress or skirt that does not hang below the gown (No shorts or slacks are permitted!)
    • blouse/top of the dress that does not show at the top of the gown *No gum!
    • orange collar (Josten’s)
    • black dress shoes with straps at the heel (Heel height should be what is comfy for the graduate.)

    Proper attire for men:

    • white dress shirt with black tie (No bow ties!)
    • black dress pants (No khaki pants!)
    • black dress shoes and black socks (No white socks!) *No gum!
    • orange collar (Josten’s)

    Note:   Any students who misbehave during the graduation ceremony will NOT receive their diploma at the conclusion of the ceremony.  No jewelry, corsages, or insignia may be displayed on the outside of the gown. No grad caps may be decorated. No distracting jewelry is allowed!  Only approved pins/stoles are permitted.  Do not wait until the end of the year to purchase your attire.  Any student needing financial assistance for the purchase of proper attire or your cap and gown, please see Mrs. Randall or Mrs. Burton before November.

    Photography:  Wilson Studios will take pictures for those pre-paying.  Order forms distributed at grad practice.

    ***School Fees – All other school fees (books, library, athletics, IDs, parking, registration, past fees, etc.) and Josten’s fees must be paid/cleared by May in order to participate in senior events & graduation.  If you have any unpaid fees, you will NOT participate in senior events or the graduation ceremony.  You will pick up your diploma from the guidance office at a later date.
